Guardianship: Helping international students adapt to the UK classroom

The British education system encourages free thinking and confidence in voicing your ideas in the classroom. This a big cultural difference for many of our international students.

As guardian it’s our role to help bridge that gap: to help the student understand the cultural differences and expectations within the classroom, and support their teachers to get the best out of international students.

Today we had a lovely message from a teacher who has had a breakthrough with her student following our support.

It may seem like a small thing, but this student has just taken his first step on the road to academic success in the UK. Hurrah!
