‘Reimagining Business’ during Covid-19

12-06-2020

As an alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses (GS10ksb) Programme run by University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School, for the past 4 weeks Ailie Fan has participated in their ‘Re-imagining Business’ programme’; a refresher programme to encourage small businesses to think creatively during the Covid-19 uncertainty.

Here Ailie explains more…

“The programme has been an opportunity to review my family’s business: to reassess what is important to our clients, and ensure the Study Links team are all working towards the same goals so that we can deliver the things our clients need, when they need them, in the most effective way.

The Study Links team had to make quick decisions in order to cope with the new situation created by Covid-19.   Thankfully, working with people who are optimistic, compassionate, that you can trust and collaborate with – the values that are the foundations of Study Links – has allowed us to make critical decisions quickly and with confidence.  It was very reassuring that the outcomes of the programme reinforced the creative decisions that we’d already made.

Through Covid-19 I feel even more privileged to work with such a fantastic team at Study Links: professionals who are experts in their field with kindness in their hearts.  Decisions continue to be made with compassion for those we work with, our students, their parents, schools, agents, homestays, transport companies to name but a few, and of course for one another.

As the Re-imagining Business programme draws to a close, I’d like to express my thanks to my team for their ongoing commitment and determination to be the best they can be as individuals and as a team.   Thanks to GS10ksb who have invested their money, time and expertise to deliver the programme.  And sincere thanks to all our valued Study Links community, our friends, and our families, for your ongoing support as Study Links continues to push through this period.

We very much look forward to seeing you again soon.”
