This month Study Links have been prized with two awards from AI Influential Businesswoman Awards 2017 for ‘Best Immersive Language Tuition Company & Excellence Award for Immersive English Tuition 2017’. With all the hard work that has gone into our immersion group programme, we are so pleased for this to be recognised with an award!

History

Our Immersion programmes began 8 years ago after receiving a request to help a partner in Thailand.  However over recent years we have noticed the demand for overseas students wanting to experience life as a British student has grown enormously. We now regularly host student groups from around the world who want to experience British life and culture in and out of the classroom.

What is an Immersion Programme?

A typical group comes for between 1-6 weeks.  Our most recent group were Indonesian students (ranging from 12 to 14 years) who joined an independent school for one week, then took part in some leisure and sightseeing time.  This gave them first-hand experience of UK culture and what it’s like to study in a British Boarding School; and of course to enjoy themselves with some social activities as well (why not!).  This group chose to stay in homestay, so each student lived in a homestay family arranged by Study Links, which gave them even more opportunities to practice their English, learn the British culture, and be part of a British family.

Study Links arrange the whole programme, from arrival in the UK to departure:

• Airport transfers
• All accommodation
• Boarding experience at a school or homestay with our homestays
• Complete immersion into UK independent or state school lessons, or university lectures
• If requested, English lessons or tutoring
• The opportunity for the immersion group to share their culture with students at the school or university that they stay with
• Sightseeing and excursion trips
• 24/7 emergency contact during your stay
• Unaccompanied minor service, if required

The best thing about this programme is that we offer bespoke packages, this works entirely on your requirements and budgets hence why we are so flexible. We also provide Homestay for students, with self-catering, bed and breakfast, half board or full board, again prices will change depending on what the students require and how long they wish to stay in homestay. Transport is carried out by Study Links and is available to all students should they need this.
